While we have achieved high qualified teacher ratios, we have also made a commitment to overall staffing to ensure we exceed Ministry of Education guidelines for child to teacher ratios. The guidelines are 1 teacher to every 10 children over the age of two. We pride ourselves on supervision and always ensure our teachers are in areas where they have optimum view of all areas of the environment.
20 ECE hours is available based on a minimum of four hours per day, morning, or afternoon for up to 6 hours per day as this is the maximum number of hours the government will fund per day. Any time over six hours a day or more than 20 hours per week incurs additional charges.
WINZ subsidies are also available in some cases to assist with attendance fees. Refer to parent handbook for further information.
Please provide any allergy information and we ask that no egg or nuts come into the Kindy.

If your child is toilet training, please ensure they have an adequate amount of spare clothes this is the case in summer also where we have
water play.
Here at Edmonton Kindergarten, we use Storypar which is a media platform only parents/whanau of our Kindergarten can access. Here you will find learning stories and pictures of your child’s journey.
Here at Edmonton Kindergarten, we are community based therefore we need a committee of parents to run the Kindy. Refer to parent handbook for list of current members.
